Free Home for Incurable Cancer

Since 1939, the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne, Servants of Relief for Incurable Cancer, have cared those suffering from incurable cancer who cannot afford care elsewhere. The Sisters strive to provide a place where the sick can experience comfort, peace and security. 

Recommended Visiting Hours:

11:00 am - 7:00 pm daily

2 persons per patient at a time

(These recommendations are put in place for the safety of our patients (your loved ones). We strive to maintain the Core Principles of Infection Control to protect our patients against COVID-19 as has been recommended by the CDC.)

We provide a loving, peaceful, home-like environment to our Guest patients.  All patients admitted to the Home have a diagnosis of incurable cancer.  We strive to meet their physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual needs, and to give comfort and consolation, knowing that we cannot offer them a cure.
